Cherished “Papa” to Victorya, Dante and Ceanna Morales, Audriana and Penelope Scott and coming soon, Baby Manos. Preceded in death by his mother and father Irene & Eugene Coughlin, and granddaughters, Hope Marie Manos and Vanessa Lynn Holmes. Special Uncle, Cousin and Dear friend to many who will miss Tom dearly.
Tom was retired from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation Department. after working there as a Hoisting Engineer for 29 years. He is a gold card member of Operating Engineers Local #150. Back in the day, he played as a right half back and running back for the Clowns semi-pro football team. He loved reading, chocolate candy, Peggy’s fudge, Barb’s crackers, making malts, Geri’s popcorn, working crossword puzzles, visiting with friends and reliving stories from ‘back in the day.’ He was always seen traveling with at least four different books in his car and a book on his person, no matter the outing. He instilled his curiosity and love of reading in many of his grandkids and great-grandkids. They are deeply grateful for his time, attention, and generous love.
A special thank you to Lightways Hospice nurses, Nancy and Audrey.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Feb. 21st. Please contact further for information and registration at celebration443@gmail.com. Also, please bring a ‘story’ to share about Tom.
In lieu of flowers making a donation in his name to the Lightways Hospice. 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431
