Timothy Paul Armstrong, age 61, of Geneva, Illinois, died March 11, 2021 at Delnor Hospital after suffering a stroke.

Tim grew up in West Chicago, attended West Chicago Community High School and joined the marines where he worked as an air controller in Cherry Point, NC. After that, he worked as an airline mechanic for American Airlines. Most recently, he ran his own business, MiTek Dental, installing and repairing dental equipment and trained others in the same field. Tim enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, and outdoor activities with his children.

Tim is survived by his wife, Kara, his three children, Emily Conrad, Isaac, and Marin, mother Betty, and brothers Tom, Terry and Mark.

A service will be held on Saturday, March 20, at Yurs Funeral Home in Geneva, Illinois with visitation beginning at 2:00, followed by a memorial service at 3:30 pm at the same location.

Shawn Sydlowski from Tonica , IL

"More than just a well trusted and well respected partner in the dental field, Tim is a friend.I met Tim in 2008 at a dental office he equipped for me. Over the years our talks became less about dentistry and more about the important things in life. It was Tim who told me when I was going become a father for the first time "you will never look at the world the same again, once you are a dad; your perspective on everything changes." He could not have been more right. I think of those words often.Thank you Tim"

Maggie Augustyn from Elmhurst, IL, IL

"It is a true shock and tragedy to discover that Tim is no longer with us. We have known him for almost 15 years (to the month) and have always been touched by his incredible work ethic and the need to help. Tim and I have become friends over the years and have often talked about kids. All he ever talked about was his kids: biking and sledding. He loved his son and daughter more than he loved life. I pray for peace for his family in this difficult time, and know... that he will be forever in our hearts."

Dennis Winters from Geneva, IL

"Tim was a good friend and a wonderful neighbor. He was always cheerful, and always ready to lend a hand. He was devoted to his family. He helped me in a lot of little ways, the kind that you take for granted - feeding cats, clearing snow, even just taking a few minutes to shoot the breeze. I'll miss him."

Jacque Lampkins from Sycamore , IL

"So sorry to see this LaRea and Mark. Sending love and prayers that God will hold you close as you grieve this great loss. May your memories bring you comfort in the days to come. ♥️🙏"

Carl Elks from charlottesville, VA

"Many years have gone by since we were kids playing and exploring at grandpa and grandma Armstrong's farm in NC. I see Tim from those distant memories. I remember Tim this way; thoughtful, dependable, and a really fun to be with. As I read more about him, he grew into a great family man and father. Someone I wish could be my next door neighbor. We are less richer in sprit and brotherhood with Tim's passing. But his good deeds and memory endure, and his family that he cared so much for is here for all to console and embrace. Carl"

Becky from Naperville, IL

"Tim was a wonderful and happy go lucky guy. He always had a spring in his step and the dental community will miss him terribly. Prayers go out to his children and family. I hope that they are surrounded by many caring people who will take care of them during this sad time."
