Virginia “Ginny” Mae Kintz, age 87, died peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

She was born on November 18, 1935, in Chicago, to Stuart and Ruby Keenan. On May 11, 1957,she married James Kintz.

Ginny was devout and faithful. She was a loving spouse, mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. Ginny will always be remembered for her homemade gingerbread houses at Christmas time and often baked an entire subdivision of houses for the kids and grandkids to decorate. She loved to walk, was an avid gardener, an excellent cook and a master with the sewing machine. She made children’s clothes and donated them to charity. She was an active member of St. John Neumann Church and served many different ministries. She retired from Country Companies in St. Charles, as the office manager. Ginny was the friendly voice when you called there. She loved chocolate, ice cream, shamrock shakes, and her Irish heritage but most of all her family and friends. She attended DePaul University and during that time she was voted Campus Cutie and met her loving husband of 66 years.

Ginny is survived by her spouse, James; children Susan (Dan) Perna of Algonquin, IL, Michael (Melinda) Kintz of Batavia, IL, Robert (Mary) Kintz of Sugar Grove, IL, and David (Heidi) Kintz of Sugar Grove, IL; grandchildren Jennifer (Alex) McKay, Caitlin, Domenic, Michelle, John (Jessica), Rachel, Austin (Courtney), Bryant, Ainsley; great grandchildren Gabriel and Matthew. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and grandson Alex.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30, Saturday, June 3, 2023 at St John Neumann Church, 2900 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St., Geneva, IL.
