Jeanette McBroom passed away peacefully on September 25, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois. Born in DeKalb, Illinois on October 1, 1928 to Glen E. Donath and Anna L. Donath. Married for 51 years, her husband Algie M. McBroom preceded her in death, son Steven D. McBroom, and brother Gerald L. Donath. She is survived by her children, Danny (Patricia) McBroom, Diane Freiny, Debra (Norman) Swanson and Joyce (Michael) Tatera. She also has five Grandchildren, Jody, Ryan, Lindsay, Amber and Jason. Four Great Grandchildren, Brandon, Keaton, Evelyn and Hailey.
Jeanette could be found with her nose in a book, stitching a masterpiece, cooking in the kitchen or conquering her latest puzzle. As a resident of Heritage Woods of South Elgin, she loved telling stories and would keep you wondering what other memories she had left to share. You will be missed by all of us you have touched. We love you!
