Alan Clough, 73, formerly of St. Charles, Il, died peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022. He was born in Greenfield, MA on September 30, 1948 and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1966. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was stationed in South Korea and then Fort Devens, MA. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He was an avid railroad enthusiast and spent many hours train spotting. The love of trains is what brought him to Chicago – where east meets west. His first job was working as a civil engineer for the Rock Island Rail Road. Alan is survived by his son, Mark Clough, his sister, Cathy Clough, Greenfield, MA and his ex-wife, Sharee Clough. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ruth Clough, Greenfield, MA.
