With extreme sadness we announce the passing of Alexandra (Ali) Broshar. Ali passed away peacefully at her home in St. Charles Sunday, Jan. 22, following a courageously fought long term illness.
Ali was 27 years old. The daughter of John and Lori Broshar, born on June 19, 1995 in Elgin, IL. She was a graduate of St. Charles North High School and attended The New School in New York City. It was there she was following her passion for fashion and journalism.
Ali was creative, driven and founded Ali’s Creations at the age of 14. She had a design trademarked and made Forbes The Next Crop: Grade-School Entrepreneurs 2010.
Ali took honors classes and played competitive tennis. She enjoyed frequent roles at Steel Beam Theater in St. Charles. Ali was able to navigate her entrepreneurial business and schoolwork while fighting her illness. No small feat as she endured many long-term hospital stays.
Ali was survived by her parents, her brothers Connor and Ryan along with her paternal Grandmother Joan Broshar, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and her beloved dog Bentley. Ali is reunited in heaven with her maternal grandparents Phyllis and Bernel Favaro, step-grandfather Jack Morris, paternal grandfather James Broshar, great grandmothers Jennie Easterling, Cecil Broshar, Katrine Schumann and her cherished dog Simba.
The funeral services will be a private family event. Donations in Ali’s memory may be made to The Mast Cell Disease Society (TMS) and G-PACT for Gastroparesis and Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction at https://tmsforacure.org/give-2/ or https://g-pact.org/donate, respectively.
