Annie Laurie Harris, age 94, of St. Charles, formerly of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away February 25, 2022 at River Crossing in St. Charles.
She was born February 25, 1928 in Gulfport, Mississippi to Paul Sheldon Dodge and Mae Elaine Dodge. She was the Granddaughter, Daughter and Wife of Baptist Preachers. Which meant she was on every church committee, vacation bible school staff and choir accompanist in many churches across the United States. A great deal of her life was devoted to talking about Jesus. The Lord was paramount in her life. She later spent her retirement years on a Missouri farm raising lambs and visiting grandchildren.
Mrs. Harris is survived by two children, Paula (Lorin) Drake and Earl Stanley (Judy) File, seven grandchildren, Laurie Ann Eckhart (deceased), Michael (Haley) Smith,
Katherine (Joshua) Davidson, Lauren Niles, Jennifer (Amanda) Foster-Drake, Ashley (Ali) Ghashghaei, Jon (Mary) Campbell. Sixteen great grandchildren, Jon (Chelsea) Cencich, Tommy Cencich, Nicholas Drake, Ryan Drake, Mark Ruhland, Madison Smith, Avery Smith, Emily Smith, Kylie Smith, Kennedy Smith, Thomas Davidson, Grant Niles, Hadley Niles, Colin Roman, Bennett Campbell, Greyson Campbell. One great great grandchild, Mila Cencich.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Stanley File and Oliver Ray Harris, her parents, a brother, Jack Dodge and a sister, Doris Flurry.
Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 P.M., Saturday, March 5th at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, St. Charles. Public visitation will be from 3-4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at Shelburn Church Cemetery in Shelburn, Missouri.
