Arthur G. Aylesworth Jr.

On Thursday, February 18, 2021, Arthur Aylesworth, loving brother, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 64.

Art was born on June 9, 1956 in Chicago, IL to Arthur and Dolores (Johnson) Aylesworth.  He graduated from West Aurora High School and attended Waubonsee Commuity College.  Art was a business entrepreneur and co-owner of several food service businesses known as “KarmelKorn Shop” previously located at the St. Charles Mall and the “Chicken Koop”, Crystal Lake Mall.  He later worked in Car Sales at various dealerships in the Fox Valley area.  He raised two children, Amanda and David and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Charles, IL.

Art had a great sense of humor and was lovingly known as “Uncle Pickle” to his nieces and nephews.  He had a passion for playing chess and other board games as well as his enjoyment of all Chicago sports teams.  He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Art was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Sr. and his mother Dolores.  He is survived by his two children, David Aylesworth and Amanda Brown, her husband Marcus and three grandchildren, Mikayla, Caleb and Cassidy; his twin brother Alfred Aylesworth, and wife Laura; sisters Sandy Mosher and husband James and Pamela Sweigert and husband David and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned in early June with more information to follow.  The family wishes for donations to be made directly to the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.

Condolences

Susan Polier from Pingree Grove, IL

"My love and sincere condolences to Amanda, David and Art's entire family. Art had a big heart and immense affection for his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His friendship and memories of our time together will always be with me as I will continue to see him in the years ahead through our children and grandchildren. God Bless you, rest in peace Art. Love, Susan"

Jonathan Fischer from St. Charles, MA

"My first comment appears to have disappeared, so apologies if it did in fact make it and I don't realize it. Art, it has been some years since we worked together at the St. Charles Mall, but I found your intelligence, kindness, and strength--as well as your sense of joy and fun--most exceptional. The world is far worse off for your absence. God bless you, my friend."
