Aurelia Jane Pagnoni, 91, surrounded by her loving family, returned to the Father on Friday, April 1st 2022. She was deeply loved by her husband, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The daughter of Lester Wendall and Mildred Horn, Aurelia was born on August 11th, 1930 in Chicago, IL. She was the 2nd born with three siblings: Frank, Lestrella (Joy), and Lester (Bill).
In her late teens her mother fell ill, and she helped care for her younger brother and sister, Bill and Joy; she obtained her GED later in life.

She married Donald Schuyler (d.1961) in her early 20’s in Chicago, IL. They had three children: Donna, Mark, and William (Bill). After the death of her first husband, she married Joseph Pagnoni (d. 1998) and had one child, Becky Pagnoni.

She wore many hats; she worked as a key punch operator, as a nanny and caregiver, and retired after working as a clerk for a jewelry store in Wheaton, IL.

Aurelia was a loving, selfless individual that donated a substantial amount of her time and income to many churches and Christian organizations, and many other groups dedicated to helping both people and animals. She deeply loved animals and flowers, and would often say “I want to appreciate the beauty of flowers while I am still alive.”

She maintained a small ministry of her own for over a decade that involved sending 25 or more devotional booklets to those who were less fortunate. Aurelia would always seal the envelopes with “Jesus is Lord” written on the back.
She was known for her little red Geo Metro that she drove around the Geneva township. As the car had “Jesus is Lord” written on both driver and passenger doors in white lettering, it was affectionately known by many as the Jesus mobile.

She will be remembered by her family and friends for her love of reading, and for writing in her journals. Even in her later years she could finish an entire book in just two days.
She leaves a legacy of selflessness, wisdom, love, and a strong drive to follow the Holy Spirit. Aurelia inspired those that were close to her to strive for knowledge and to be as selfless as she was.
She is survived by: her sister Joy, sons Mark and Bill Schuyler, daughters Donna Lane and Becky Pagnoni, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Condolences

Janis Phelps from St.Charles, IL

"Rea and I attended church together and would get together occasionally. We even cleaned the church together. I am so glad she is with the Lord now in Heaven in peace."

Joanne Rupp from South Elgin, IL

"I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I worked with Rea at Simpson Electric for many years. She was in my dream last night so I googled her today. May she rest in peace. She knew me as Joanne (Setter) Loewe"
