Barbara “Barb” Ruchti, age 71 of Virgil, Illinois passed away February 4, 2019. She was born to Charles and Lucille Nelson in Elgin, Illinois. She graduated from Ellis Business with honors and was career secretary. She and her husband Jim celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this summer by going to her favorite place in the world, Timber Trail Lodge in Hayward, Wisconsin. Barb volunteered her time with her husband’s barber shop chorus the Westtown Men’s Barbershop Chorus for 20 years. The love of her life was Skittles, Skipbo, reading Harlequin Romance Novels, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband Jim, son James “Jimmy” (Deb) Ruchti, daughter Christine “Chrissy” (Allen) Georgi, four grandchildren; Carmen (Patrick)Gary, Jessica Bathey, Autumn Georgi, Tanis Georgi, great granddaughter Olivia Bathey, great grandson Charles Gary, sister Diane Rust, brother Charles (Linda) Nelson, and many nieces and nephews.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, February 11, 2019 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, Illinois.
