Barbara Haskins, age 82, of North Aurora, passed away surrounded by her loving family August 18, 2017. She was born to Johan and Katherina Sauer in Troisdorf, Germany. She will be dearly missed, yet never really far away. She was a true matriarch that showed and taught her family how to persevere in life.
She is survived by her three children; Gabriele Jury (Daniel Kovacevic), Michaela (Vincent) McGrath, Glyn John Paul (Agnieszka) Jury, nine grandchildren; Barbi, Courtney (Jim), Justin, Jesse, Louis (Monika), Jonathon, Andrew (Jen), Daniel, Hayden, 9 great-grandchildren; Ayla, Parker, Zeb, David, Winter, Lily, Lizy, Adam and Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Frederick Emanuel Haskins and daughter Meredith Ann Haskins.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 W. Main St. Batavia, IL 60510. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva, IL. Visitation will be 4-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60174. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: The Cradle 2049 Ridge Ave. Evanston, IL 60201.
