Bernard Ralph Schroeder, age 79, of St. Charles passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home.
He was born December 31, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Rudolf and Ellis Schroeder.
Mr. Schroder graduated from Loyola University and was a captain in the Army Reserve. For over 35 years, he worked for E.G. Brach Candy Company retiring as Vice President. He was a member of the Maywood Sportsman Club and the Pheasant Hunting Club in Delavan, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred, three children, Sandra (Mark) Kelly of St. Charles, Cheryl (Steve) Hagedorn of Lemont and Bernard (Sandra) Schroeder, Jr. of Oswego, seven grandchildren, Nolan and Madeline Kelly, Adam and Luke Hagedorn and Catilyn, Joshua and Jacob Schroeder and a sister, Mary Ann (Frank) Sweeney.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral mass will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 20th at St. Patrick Crane Road Church, 4N691 Crane Road, St. Charles. Interment will be private at Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-9:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, (corner of Rt. 64 and Rt. 25), St. Charles.
