Beverly J. Akins age 86, of St. Charles, passed away January 3, 2021. She was born July 5, 1934 to Omer and Bernice Ewing in Richland Center, Wisconsin. On December 23, 1956 she married the love of her life Donald F. Akins.
Beverly loved baking, shopping, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by son Randy (Bethany) Akins, daughter Pamela (Randall) Johnsen, son Thomas (Dawn) Akins, six grandchildren: Chris (Jenny) Johnsen, Sara Johnsen (Dustin Ritz), Sean Akins, Kyle Akins, Ryan (Allison) Saidat, Colleen Saidat, eight great-grandchildren: Brooklynn, Kevin, Greyson, Hazel, Harlan, Freya, Kylie, Madi, Brother George (Barbara) Ewing, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her eleven siblings and by her husband Donald F. Akins.
Visitation will be 4- to 6:00 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 8, 2021, at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, St. Charles, Illinois.
