Blake Ronald Griffiths, 33, died Monday, August 5, 2024. He was loved by his parents, brother, niece and nephew, grandparents, friends, and extended family.
He was born on November 25, 1990 to Susan and Todd Griffiths in St. Charles, IL. Blake graduated St. Charles East in 2009 and immediately joined the Army to serve the country he loved. He served two tours in Afghanistan as a Motor Transportation Operator and received numerous medals for his outstanding service. After being honorably discharged from the army, Blake had to overcome challenges faced by many returning veterans. Through hard work and dedication, he was able to graduate with honors from Veterans Court. Blake then became the Manager at Serenity House where he continued his dedication to help lead a life of sobriety.
He was a devoted family man with a larger than life personality. Blake was able to make anyone laugh by his silly sense of humor and carefree spirit. He loved nothing more than to help family and friends as he always found the good in everyone. He enjoyed shopping and buying presents because he felt great gratitude in pleasing others. He also loved sports, working out, playing games, and being the best uncle.
Survivors include his mom Susan, brother Grant (Balinda), nephew Calvin, niece Carmen, grandmothers Pam and Lucy, Aunt Gloria, best friend Matt and his love, Lindsay.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Todd, grandpa David, Aunt Shirley, and several Brothers in Arms.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 A.M, Saturday, August 17 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6N491 Crane Rd. Saint Charles, IL 60175. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. followed by the procession to Prairie Cemetery.

"Sue,Dearest cousin, I am so very sorry for your terrible loss; I can't even find the words. It was obvious at the picnic that Blake was dearly loved by all his family, and that he loved you all in return. I wish I'd had the opportunity to get to know him better. He seemed a fine man and a good son. You and the family have my deepest sympathies."
