It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bonnie Jean Callahan, a cherished wife, Mother and grandmother, on Saturday, December 14th. Bonnie Callahan was born on October 16th, 1942 in Warren, Michigan where she spent all of her childhood years. She was 82 years old.

Bonnie Jean was the beloved wife of Larry Callahan for 62 years. Together, they built a loving home and raised a beautiful family. She was a devoted mother to daughter Amy (Jarrod), and sons Larry (Rebekah) and Luke (Heather); and a doting grandmother to Hayden Voltz; Jacob (Jacqueline), Grace, Caleb and Sarah Callahan; and Emily and Olivia Callahan. She even had the privilege of becoming a great grandmother to Ella and Ryker Callahan. Her faith & her family were her foundation, and she dedicated her life to their well-being, joy, and pursuit of knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Throughout her life, Bonnie was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for her loved ones. She was adored for her genuine hospitality; displayed through her consistently Open and inviting home, cooking skills, warmth and laughter that brought joy to everyone around her. Her welcoming smile, authentic care and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Maurice and Polly Wilde, In-laws J. Shields and Elizabeth Callahan; siblings Richard Wilde, Jacqueline Staup, and Donna Burnett; and son- in-law Jarrod Voltz. She is survived by her loving, faithful and adoring husband Larry.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Friday December 20^th at Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. A second visitation will be held Saturday 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Yurs funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. The burial will be at River Valley Memorial Gardens West Dundee, Il. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Bonnie’s life.

Bonnie’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her faith and family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed
