"Steffanie, Ty, Brianna and the rest of the Denton family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know I am going to miss Butch more than words can describe. We had such a unique friendship. I knew he would always be there to make me laugh when I was down, share a story that only the two of us would be able to find the humor in, and would just be able to talk about things that would take away the stress of every day life, almost like we were teenagers again. Meeting Steff and having children was the best thing that could have ever happened to him and it made him more whole as a person. He has left a strong and lasting legacy on this world and was able to leave a positive impression on all those who knew him. May he rest in absolute peace."
Holly (May) Harris from Princeton, IL

"To Stephanie, Ty, Brianna and all of Butch's family. We are so sorry for your loss of this wonderful person and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I met Butch through Mike 20+ years ago. What started out as my best friend's brother turned into its own friendship. We played softball almost 20 years together. He just made me laugh. I loved playing next to him in the infield. He kept things light and fun no matter what. I always saw how much he loved his family and friends. It was easy to like Butch. I'll miss those times but I feel so grateful that I'll always have those memories. Thank you for everything Butch. Rest easy my friend. #bigstrokesforever"

"We’ve known Carl for the past 7 years. He came to protect our house from pests every 3 months, but he immediately became a friend. He was one of the most positive and upbeat people you’ll ever meet. He had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh. We easily chatted about our children, as we too have a boy and a girl. He was so very proud of Ty and Bri and talked about them often. We are terribly saddened by his passing. Please accept our deepest condolences. We will keep Carl and his family in our thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Carl. You will be missed."
Gordon Zerkel (1st cousin to Edie) from Citrus Heights, CA
