It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carla Ann Spatafora on November 8, 2023. Born on October 30, 1948, Carla lived a vibrant and impactful life, touching her friends and family’s hearts with her love and generosity
Carla is survived by her siblings, Regina (Scott) Stillinger, Clara (Greg) Billing, Carl (Eileen) Spatafora and Danielle (Tom) Glander as well as eleven nieces and nephews and twenty-three great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her devoted partner of more than thirty years, Donna Miller, her loving parents, Regina and Carl Spatafora and her siblings Hope Polena, Dorothy, Benjamin, Clifford and Christopher Spatafora, and her brother-in-law Scott Polena.
Carla lived for making others happy. She was famous for the room in her house filled with toys and games for visiting family. Her ability to find the most amazing gadgets and package them up in her yearly Christmas bags was something her family looked forward to every year.
Above all else, Carla loved to help people. It was this spirit of kindness that defined her, creating a legacy that resonates with her loved ones and everyone’s lives that she has touched. We take comfort in knowing that she leaves this world to reunite with Donna, whom she missed greatly. A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday June, 22, 2024 from 9:00-11:00 A.M. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Yurs Funeral Home Saint Charles. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois

"Carla was a magnificent and kind person. I remember my grandmother was friends with Carla and Donna and I frequently visited their home. As a child, her Coca Cola figurine collection fascinated me. She always offered a snack to me and let me play with Wrigley. Till this day, I still have a Coca Cola and a ladybug magnet she gifted me on my fridge. I spoke to her a few years back, and I was so upset to see the news of her passing. God bless her soul."
