Carmen Calderone, 94, died Wednesday, January 11th, 2023.
Carmen is survived by Mary Harmon (daughter) of St. Charles, IL; Jenna, Jamie, Julianna Harmon of St. Charles, IL and Jordan Combs of Dallas, Texas (granddaughters); and four great grandchildren.
Carmen is preceded in death by his wife Marge Calderone of 60 years; his daughter Margie Lesko of Dallas, Texas; and his son-in-law William Harmon of St. Charles, IL.
Carmen loved people, and people loved him. He made everyone he met feel special, from the caretakers and residents at Brighton Gardens, to his neighbors, friends at The Well church, and the senior center. Carmen loved making people laugh with his memorized jokes. Most importantly, his love for Jesus Christ reflected in his character and his life. We know he is in heaven, and we will see him again one day.

"Carmen, I’ll really miss you. You always knew how to make people laugh and feel special. I’m going to miss visiting you or going out to lunch with you…. But I’ll see you soon on the new heavens and the new earth, where every fear will be wiped from our eyes."
Christina Fasano from Batavia, IL
"Had the pleasure of knowing Carmen for 19 years. He was a joy to have around the fitness center. Carmen always made everyone he spoke with feel special and cared for. He will be greatly missed. God Bless you Carmen!"
Rob and Melissa from Geneva, IL
"Carmen was the first person to welcome us to the neighborhood 12 years ago, even before we started unpacking the truck. He took it upon himself to help Rob get a job at the best place in his field and remained such a wonderful caring neighbor to have. He never missed a birthday party and always had a joke to tell. He shared his love of food but more so, the people to share the meal with. Until we meet again Carmen!"
Bonnie Kliros from Geneva, IL
"Everyone loved Carmen, he will be missed by us all at the fitness center! There are special people that add a smile and a good work each day, Carmen was one of them."
Corinne Littlefield from Hamilton Township, NJ
"The Calderone family lived across the street from me and my family when I was a child. This is going way back to the 1960's in New Jersey. My sister and I were friends with Margie and Mary and we have wonderful memories of those happy, carefree days. I was saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Calderone as well as Mrs. Calderone and especially Margie. May they all rest in peace. Mary, you are in our thoughts. Hopefully, you remember us. May God bless you and keep you in his care. Sincerely, Corinne Innocenzi Littlefield and Cindy Innocenzi"
