Obituaries

Caroline “Carol” M. Hayes, 91, of St. Charles, IL formerly of Palatine, IL passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Her life will be celebrated at a private memorial mass.

Caroline was born on September 11, 1928, in Bird Island, MN. Carol spent her early days working for AT&T. She met her husband Don on St. Patrick’s Day and spent many happy years raising her family, volunteering at her church and other organizations.  Carol loved to travel, garden, support the arts, and spend time with her family and friends. Her sweet and giving character are remembered by all.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald, Caroline is survived by her loving children, Thomas (Denise), Timothy (Wynn), Patricia (Frederick) Oh, Susan Hayes, and Joan (Michael) Cunningham; cherished grandchildren, Kathleen, Connor, Patrick, Sean, Keelyn, Kyra, Grace, Skylar, Tara, and Darcy; her sister Mildred Hoben, sisters-in-law Angela Lundstrum, Kathleen (Gerald) Meyer, and Margaret (Daniel) Bednarz; and many nieces and nephews. Caroline is also preceded in death by her brother Leonard Lundstrum, her sister Elvera Hanlon, and her parents Walter and Marie Lundstrum.
