Our sweet girl Charlee Rose Slavens was born on October 3, 2020, and tragically left us on March 14, 2024. She left behind loving parents. Beau and Kasie, a loving sister, Auburn, grandparents, aunts. uncles, cousins, and nurses. Charlee Rose loved playing with her sister and would watch her sister’s every move. She loved watching Toy Story, Little Mermaid, Moana, and Finding Nemo. She always had a smile on her face and brought so much joy to anyone who was blessed to know her.

I’m so sorry to say that I never took the time to come and meet this beautiful little miracle. I thank you all for the wonderful pictures that we all were so blessed with. I’m so glad I was able to watch her happy, smiling face through so many pictures and stories you shared of her life. I felt like I did know her through all of the happiness you guys had with her in her miracle of life. I will be forever grateful to have known her as much as I did. Our adult Sunday school class at Brushey Creek, as well as our church family, felt so closely connected to Charlee Rose and considered it a pleasure to pray for her regularly. Our hearts are heavy, but we know she was so dearly loved by all that knew her, and today she is with Jesus! My prayers will continue for your family."

I attend Brushey Creek Church with your parents and Mrs. Angela has kept me informed of everything you all have been going through. I have prayed for God to heal you and He has. I can only imagine what it felt like sitting in Jesus' lap for the first time. Charlee Rose your fight is over now, and we Praise God for that and through this storm. Beau and Kasie, I'm praying for you both deeply as I have stood in your shoes myself. Aubrey, I'm praying for you. Look to God for direction and peace. He is there to help you through this. He is the only one that can get you through it. Sending love and hugs to you all."

"I feel honored to get to call this beautiful little brave warrior my niece. Technically we are cousins but when I tell others about her I refer to her as my great niece. Charlee Rose fulfilled God’s purpose for her life in less than 4 years. So many of us are still striving for that goal. Kasie, Beau, Auburn, grandparents, and caregivers, I know you will miss her and forever have a piece of your heart missing, but I hope you find peace and comfort in knowing that that missing piece is safe and healed with our savior Jesus."

"Fight as she did since her birth, she was just too much of an angel for this earth! Oh at the times we have prayed & rejoiced for our sweet Charlee Rose but not our will but God’s will be done! You will never have to be prayed for again my sweet girl for you have reached eternal perfection!❤️🙏"

Vickie and Andy Till from Georgiana , AL

"It seems each of our adult lives revolves around our children. Hundreds of miles away we were caught up in our feelings for Charlee Rose and her family and all that was going on with them. We wanted so much for God to answer our prayers with this little angel growing up to be a healthy, Godly woman living a life for Him. God had a different plan, a plan we don't understand, one that we try not to question. We thank God for the memories of her smiles and joy she brought for the short time she was here. We thank God for her awesome strength and the fight for life she made. Our prayers will stay with her family through these tough days ahead."

Tiffany Stevens from Alabaster, AL

"Although we have never met, we have heard all about Charlee Rose and her family from her Gammie and Uncle Scooter. The Stevens family send all our love and prayers of peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Stay strong Kasie, Beau and Auburn."

Lucia Hoffman from Saint Charles, IL

"Charlee Rose, thank you for coming into my life. Getting to be your teacher and helping you to learn and grow has been both an honor and a privilege. You have left your mark in our classroom and in my heart. I will think of you every time I hear a student playing with your favorite instruments or look at your favorite building book, and I will carry your memory with me always. Thank you for shining so brightly and for sharing your light with all of us at Fox Ridge."

Randy Harvill from Greenville , AL

"As tears fill my eyes, I can’t imagine what each of you feel. There are no words that I have that can bring you comfort, only The Holy Spirit of God can bring you help in this time. We love you. This Church Family is praying for y’all. Beau, Kasie and Auburn we love y’all. Isaiah 42:16 says, I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn darkness in to light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. This is a promise from God to His people. May you find hope in The Word of God in this darkest of hours. Praying for y’all."
