Charles M. Kanute, Jr. passed away May 10, 2021 in St. Charles, Illinois. Charlie was born November 26, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Dr. Charles M. Kanute and Bernadine (Goebel).

He attended St. Patrick grade school, in St. Charles and he graduated from Marmion Academy in 1955. He attended Notre Dame University and graduated from Elmhurst College in 1961, and received his law degree from John Marshall Law School in 1964. He married Esther nee Rusin in 1964 and they spent 57 wonderful years together.

Charlie was a born salesman, owner broker of Kanute Realty in St. Charles. He was a past president of the Fox Valley Board of Realtors. He also was a past president of the Mens Foundation of Delnor Hospital. He was a life-long member of the St. Charles Country Club, and a life-long member of  St. Patrick Parish. He was a member of the Marmion Abbott Society. Even though he enjoyed traveling around the world, and was a resident of Naples Florida for 40 years, he loved St. Charles which was his true home.

He also loved and was so proud of his four sons, Michael (Eileen), Malcolm (Corey), Christopher (Tonya) and Chuck, his seven grandsons, Taylor, Ben, (Courtney), Marshall, Joshua, Nicolas, Max and Alex, step-grand-daughter Taylor and great-grand-daughter Briella.

A special thanks to all his friends and helpers at the River Glen Community.

Memorial Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 6:00 P.M. Sunday. Burial will be private.
