Tom was born on August 20, 1943, to Judge Charles S. Parker and Dolly (Lehwaldt) Parker in Woodstock, Illinois. He married Mary Azzaro in 1965, and they had one daughter, Angela Marie (Severino). After her accidental death, he married Margaret Boose of Elgin, Illinois, on December 30, 1972. They had two children, Tyson and Kristen (Leshinski). Tom is best known for his love of athletics, volunteer coaching, animals and his rescue efforts for strays, his teasing and sense of humor, the comradery of family gatherings and ongoing contact with his many life-long friends.
Tom graduated from Woodstock Community High School in 1962. He excelled in athletics and was inducted into the high school Hall of Fame for both track and football. He attended Western Illinois University and played football during his college career. Tom was a lifelong Packers fan and was even gifted some stock in the team. He loved watching the games while enjoying a beer and talking to family and friends.
Tom had a long career selling banking equipment throughout northern Illinois. In his free time, he enjoyed sporting events, working outdoors and attending the many extracurricular activities of his children and granddaughters. He loved teasing his granddaughters, taking them fishing, playing checkers with them and watching them perform in dance recitals and even on TV at football games. Tom would often give practical advice about any problem.

"Tom was the 1st person I met when we moving across the street in 2000. It was Spring and was opening the shed when I heard a screeching man’s voices say “HEY!!! HEY YOU!!”. I looked around and pointed at myself. “YEAH YOU!..COME HERE!!!” So I strolled across the street and Tom offers his hand and says. “Im Tom…welcome to the neighborhood”. In true Tom fashion was rough but welcoming. We shared many laughs. Gonna miss our verbal sparing about Bears / Packers. RIP Tom……John Fell"
