Clarence (Larry) A Ward, Jr, 83, of West Dundee, passed away on November 11th following a brief battle with cancer.

Larry was born in New York, to Clarence A. Ward Sr. and Willette Bunnell.  He served in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1957. He was a graduate of Simpson College in 1963. He was a salesman for Bethlehem Steel for 20 years before opening a Karmelkorn franchise in St. Charles and then became known as the “popcorn man”. He was an active member of the Exchange Club and the Freemasons.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Rae, two sons, Tim (Shelly) and Trevor (Carrie), three grandchildren, Kyle, Tanner, and Julianne, a sister, Joanne, a nephew, Tripper, and two nieces, Anne and Wendy.

Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Janice.

His engaging personality, sense of humor, and smile will always be remembered.

Visitation will be on November 18th from 1:00 – 4:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles.
