Clifford L. Johnson age 81, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born to Arthur and Lucy Johnson on December 22, 1936, in Big Rock, Illinois.
Cliff served in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis. He returned to St. Charles and was the owner operator of the Phillip 66 gas station at Route 64 and Randall Road. For more than thirty years Cliff delivered newspapers on the west side of St. Charles while being employed in the printing trade.
He is survived by his six children, James (Remi) of Maple Park, Joel (Jill) of South Elgin, Jerry (Tina) of St. Charles, Jeff (Heather) of St. Charles, Jason Nyberg of St. Charles, and Julie (Chris) Waxman his “favorite” (only daughter) of South Elgin, six grand children, Heather O’Connor, C.J. Waxman, Jenna Rose Johnson, Logan Waxman, Olivia Rose Waxman, Haley Nyberg, four great-grandchildren, one brother Lauren (Meri) Johnson, and two nephews Lauren Jr. (Tracie), and Lincoln (Stephanie).
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Rose Marie.
Visitation will be 4-8:00 P.M. Friday, March 16, 2018, at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at St. Patrick Catholic Church 400 W. Cedar Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. Burial will be at Whitney Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a local Autism Foundation.
