Constance “Connie” V. Kenealy, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026. She was born on December 9, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois.

On February 12, 1955, Connie married the love of her life, John “Jack” Kenealy. Together they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and unwavering devotion to one another. Before starting their family, Connie worked at Sears Roebuck. After welcoming their two children, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her family and creating a warm, loving home.

Connie and Jack began their married life in Cicero before moving to Woodridge, Illinois, in 1963, where they raised their children. They cherished their annual vacations to Rhinelander, Wisconsin, eventually making the Northwoods their home in retirement for 27 wonderful years.

Connie found joy in the simple gifts of life. She was an avid swimmer who loved boating, watching birds, caring for her many beloved dogs, and spending time surrounded by nature. She also enjoyed reading, writing, scrapbooking, and tending to her gardens. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and appreciation for the outdoors touched everyone who knew her.

Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Kenealy. Her parents, Carl Bevan and Mary Farnaus.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Darlene (Steve) Riebe and William (Robin) Kenealy; her grandchildren, Chris (Colleen) Riebe, Mike (Dana) Riebe, Colleen (Mark) Vogtmann, Jamie (Brie) Hauser, and Tara Hauser; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Kyle, Hailey, Lily, Dalton, Logan, and Lauren. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Connie spent the final four years of her life back in Illinois at Halina’s Homecare in St. Charles, where she was surrounded by compassionate caregivers who treated her with exceptional dignity, kindness, and love. Her family is deeply grateful for the wonderful care she received.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Yurs Funeral Home of St. Charles, 405 East Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois. Burial will be private. There will be a celebration of life in the near future in Rhinelander, Wi.

Memorial donations in Connie’s memory may be made to the Oneida County Humane Society, 1852 North Stevens Street, Rhinelander, WI 54501.

Connie’s legacy lives on in the love she shared with her family, the countless memories created throughout a lifetime of devotion, and the quiet beauty she found in nature. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
