Corinne “Cori” Anderson Platt born November 28, 1968 in Geneva, Illinois.

On Friday the 13th, 2017 the world lost one of the most generous, creative, funny and loving souls to grace this planet.  If you met Cori, you knew Cori.  She was authentic in every aspect of her life.  She was a Harley riding, cat loving, cigarette smoking, tattoo artist, who loved music, art and all things good.

She was a righteous sister to Kristi Bork (James), Ed Anderson (Kim), Matthew Anderson (Laura) and the cool Aunt to Merri, Tyler and Caleb.

She was the cherished daughter of Ed and Georgianne Anderson.  Georgianne predeceased her, and it was her death that made this life more lonely and scary for Cori.

Cori’s most favorite role in the world was that of loving mother to her guy, Dylan. Each day she tried to be the best person she could be to and for him.  She believed in him with her whole heart, if only that belief was enough to keep her in this world.  If love was enough to keep someone here, Cori would be with us today.  Dylan’s life will be a living tribute to the Mom she was.

Cori’s life touched many, especially in the recovery community.  She helped a lot of people find their way, and come to understand life on life’s terms.

Cori, may you find the peace, contentment and love you so desperately sought on this part of your journey.  We will keep you in our hearts for a while.

A Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 21 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at the Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois. A private burial will immediately follow the Visitation.

"My heart is broken. I sat here reflecting back and recalled a few years back Cori coming to my house for a visit. She brought a Nostalgia Book of her Mom's to share with me. Start date Christmas & New Years 1978. Book of remembrances through Christmas 2011. I sat today re-reading and when I got to 1986 an extra page fell to my lap...folded and outside it read...Valentines Day 1986. Here she wrote a note about each of her children. Georgie wrote: Second in line although 2nd to none. An artist, a poet...Cori's the one. Quick & intelligent she could go far. All she'd have to do is just reach for a star.God Bless Family. All our Love & Peace to each and everyone. Linda & Kaz"
