Daisy A. Dunning, 87, of St. Charles, Illinois, met her Savior peacefully on December 17, 2022 in her home.

She was born on March 27, 1935 to Walter and Nora Overstreet in Goreville, Illinois. She worked at Furnace Electric for 30 years, but her primary focus was her family. She loved babies and she enjoyed sewing; she made baby quilts for all of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, garage saleing, family reunions and her collection of pictures of her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Dunning, 3 siblings, her daughter, Kathy Monteleone, her step-son, Donnie Dunning, a great-grandson, Jason Maddox, and the father of her children, Bob Maddox.

She is survived by her two sons, Daryl (Maria) Maddox, and Bob (Lori) Maddox; her 13 grandchildren, Robert Maddox, Angela (Eric) Knight, Jonathan (Jennifer) Maddox, Joshua (Nicole) Maddox, Heather Bruyr, Nicholas (Lauren) Maddox, Tyler (Erin) Maddox, Scott (Kathy) Maddox, Michael (Geness) Maddox, Lisa (Josh) Sexton, Frank (Kari) Monteleone, Michelle (James) Taylor, and Michael Monteleone; her 24 great-grandchildren, Jacob (Larisa) Maddox, Taylor Del Muro, Joshua Childers, Bryeonna Maddox, Emma Bruyr, Kylee Maddox, Annaleigh Bruyr, Mason Maddox, Phillip Knight, Abigail Maddox, Michael Knight, Elizabeth Maddox, Drake Maddox, Melanie Maddox, Brooke Maddox, Jake Maddox, Emily Maddox, Alyssa Maddox, Cooper Juraska, Kira Juraska, Samantha Sexton, Clayton Sexton, Haley Taylor, Meadow Taylor, and her four great-great-grandchildren, Aletta Sexton, Mackenzie Timmer, Lilian Maddox, and Brayden Sexton. She is also survived by one brother, James (Dolores) Overstreet and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and assorted other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 28th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles, Illinois. The funeral service, officiated by Fr. John Kladar, will be at 12:00 PM followed by burial in Union Cemetery, St. Charles, Illinois.
