Dakota (Cody) Ross Lukaszewski, 28, St. Charles, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 after a short and aggressive battle with cancer, which he faced with such strength and grace.
Cody was born on April 15, 1993 to John (Virgene) Lukaszewski and Stacey (Tim) Kamin, in Elgin, IL. He was a product of a blended family, teaching everyone to love one another and our differences aside. After graduating St. Charles North in 2011, Cody went on to enjoy his passion for cooking and food. He worked in the food industry for many years until his daughter Valkeryie (Val) came into his life. He passed his love for Star Wars, Pokémon and video games on to her.
Cody was loved by so many, including many friends who learned how to love and have patience because of him. His little brother described him as a hero. To everyone he was our warrior.
Cody is survived by his father John (Virgene) Lukaszewski, mother Stacey (Tim) Kamin, daughter Valkyrie Lukaszewski, sisters Sydney Kamin, Shawna (David ) Camp, brothers Austin Lukaszewski, Jason Brandlin and many family members and lifelong friends (especially the ‘Amigos’).
‘You must follow your own path, no one can choose for you.’
Visitation will be 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 11:30 A.M. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva, Illinois.
To honor Cody, we ask that you dress casual if you stop by to visit. Bonus if you dress in Star Wars, Adidas, Crocs or a Heavy Metal T.
