"I remember him as the best young gentleman. He was the best"

Diane Mylnarek Wuteska from Franklin, WI

"Dan and I were high school friends/classmates. As most classmates do, we lost touch until our 50th reunion, where we reconnected. We emailed periodically over the last few years catching up on our lives, reminiscing, sharing information about our families, our lives over the past 50 years. I remember him being a kind, fun friend, and I will miss his emails. My condolences to his family. Sincerely, Dan's friend, Barnie."

Monica Harwood from Yucaipa, CA

"May his soul rest in peace now. Great picture!"

Eileen MacDonald from West Bridgewater , MA

Karen Docktor from Avondale , AZ

"Dan was like our family’s “Superman”. (Except with red hair!) His willingness and determination to tackle any project was always remarkable, as was his strength and perseverance to complete any and all tasks. While attending Notre Dame, Dan always found time to help my parents, grandparents, and us ( John, Mary & Karen) with odd jobs around the house or our schoolwork. My fondest memories will always be of the times we shared on the family farm in Michigan and when Dan would put me up on his shoulders and walk me to Kindergarten! He will truly be missed. But he will always be remembered with such admiration. May you rest in peace, Dan.Your cousin, Karen"

Kathleen b from St. Charles , IL

"I'm so truly sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to the family during this difficult time of grieving."

Mary Beall from Charlotte, NC

"Dan was always fun to be around and told great stories about our family and the times up at the farm in the UP. I remember he helped my Dad build a bedroom for me in our basement. I was 11 years old, and looking forward to having my own room. I loved having my own bedroom! I'll miss his good spirit! Rest In Peace."

Mary Emerson from Suamico, WI

"I knew Dan many years ago in high school, when we were very young and full of hope and promise. He was affable, kind, smart, and funny. A sweet and special guy. When I think of him now, I smile. My sympathies to the family for your loss."
