Dennis R. Jarnecke, 77 of St. Charles, died February 9, 2022 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.

He was born July 2, 1944 in Chicago, Il.

Dennis was an Air Traffic Controller for 38 years at the Chicago Air Route Traffic Control Center in Aurora, Illinois. He also had owned and operated CJ’s Tap in Batavia.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lorraine. Four children, Dennis (Nancy), Donald, Daniel, and Karen Jarnecke. Also, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, David. His Parents and several sisters and brothers.

He always enjoyed fishing and going on driving trips to see the country. He was a devoted father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 17th followed by the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at the Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery Geneva.   In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
