Obituaries

Dolores Serra, age 90, long time resident of St. Charles, IL passed away October 5, 2025. Born and raised in Chicago, she was the devoted daughter of the late Herman and Mary Fassl and sister to the late Eleanor Black. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Joe and her caring children Kathy Doyle (John), Joe and Kevin (Tracy). Additionally, she was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Dolores will always be remembered for her devotion to family, her love of travel and hosting wonderful and spirited Christmas celebrations.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11 from 9-10 am at St. Patrick Mission Church, 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles, IL  60175.  The Funeral Mass will follow at 10am.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lurie Children’s Hospital. luriechildrens.org
