Don Jerich, 76 died Saturday November 27, 2021, surrounded by family. He was loved by his wife, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and grand dogs Bella & Murphy.

The son of Arthur and Impi Jerich, Don was born on May 10, 1945, in Duluth, MN. On November 7, 1994, he married Carol Kasnick in Maui Hawaii. In 2003, he and Carol moved to the Fox Valley to be closer to their growing family. He was a graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering. Early in his career, he was a design engineer with Zenith Electronics. Later, he joined Motorola where he spent the next 30 years in various Sales Management positions, receiving many awards and accolades throughout his career. He retired in 1998 from Motorola, while holding the position of Vice President Account Sales Director, and was then able to spend even more time traveling and volunteering with Carol. He and Carol were passionate about travelling and have seen many places and countries throughout the world. When not travelling, he enjoyed volunteering at the Museum of Science & Industry (and especially loved volunteering at the Great Train Story exhibit), Chicago Cultural Center – Greeter Program (thoroughly enjoyed both small and large groups) and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife (Carol), stepdaughter Joan Konrad, stepson Rick (Aliaksandra) Kasnick, stepson Jim (Paula) Kasnick, 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy), Jeff, Lauren, Lyndsey, and Peter, and 2 great-grandchildren, Emery and Kai, bother Patrick (Brenda) Jerich, and nephews Grant, Austin & Luke.

He was preceded in death by his mother Impi Jerich and father Arthur Jerich.

Funeral services will be private due to COVID-19.

Donations in Don’s memory may be made to an animal charity of your choice or to The Salvation Army.
