Donald B. Pierce, 82 of St. Charles, died Sunday, July 25, 2021.  He was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Duluth MN, the son of Bernard and Lucille (Cooper) Pierce.  A graduate of Mooseheart and a local barber for 50 years.  In 1969 he opened Avenue II Barbershop with partner Jeff Orland.  Don provided employment and financial support to many Mooseheart youth to help with the transition following graduation.  In his free time he loved to golf, watch the Cubs, fish, and travel with friends especially to Arizona for Spring Training and Canada for fishing.

Donald is survived by his children: James Pierce of Sugar Land, TX,  William Pierce of Algonquin, Steven Pierce of Pleasanton, CA and Kathleen “Cassie” (David) Miller of Lombard; nine grandchildren: Catherine, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Michael, Christopher, Jordan, Brooke, Abby, and Brittany; and three brothers: David (Gracie), Richard (Joyce), Patrick (Barb) and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, sister Carol, brother Robert, and daughter-in-law Jennifer.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. followed by a prayer and sharing of memories at  2:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, St. Charles 60174.  In lieu of flowers and contributions, we would love for you to participate during the memorial service by sharing a favorite memory to celebrate Don’s life.
