Donna Louise Maxwell “Mimi”

Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother

Donna Louise Maxwell, 86, affectionately known as Mimi drew her last sweet breath on Tuesday June 2nd, 2022 with her children by her side. Donna was born on April 25th, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Robbie and Vincent Porter. She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings Alice Dellamano (Wayne) and Eugene Porter ( Dare ).

Donna is survived by her loving husband Stanley Scott Maxwell of 63 years. Donna married Stanley Scott Maxwell on August 23rd, 1958 surrounded by their family. They were blessed with three children Kimberly, Rebecca (Elio) and Robert (Claudette). Donna and Scott were proud owners of their business Maxwell Tank Lines since 1983 and worked tirelessly.
Donna was a devoted Christian, avid reader, and loved riding her bike. Most importantly she loved spending time with her Granchildren and Great-Children. She is survived by Grandchildren, Leah (Stanley), David (Bruce), Elio (Michele), and Laura (Parker). Her Great-Grandchildren are Christian, Liliana, Ashton, Lily, Zoey and Nora.

Donna will be remembered as a loving Mother, Wife, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She touched all our lives with her kindness, generosity, and hugs. Donna “Mimi” will be greatly missed by her family.

Visitation will be held Saturday June 11th, 2022 11 am-1pm at Yurs Funeral Home 405 East Main St, St. Charles. Funeral Services will be held at Union Cemetery 2pm, 1200 N 5th Ave St. Charles. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Pacific Garden Mission, Chicago.
