Her vision, support & encouragement enabled many to experience the arts and helped others to continue to do what they love. Her generosity is only matched by that of her late husband, Max Hunt. Together their support for the arts enabled its survival & growth in our community. We have such great admiration for the entire Hunt family and their community involvement. Doris & Max’s legacy of generosity is continued through this strong family tree. Our family is forever grateful for all of your support throughout the years. "Sending love and prayers to the entire Hunt Family. I so enjoyed getting to know your parents over the years. I first met them at a cast party for “ You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” and at many celebrations for the arts in years after. Whether is was an event after a High School concert or musical or an event after a Mostly Madrigal/ St. Charles Singers performance- your Mom was always there. Sending hugs to David, Jennifer, Greg and Jeff who I befriended over he years. God speed and God Bless you Doris."

Karen Wilke Heyse from St. Louis, , MO

"What a dear sweet lady Doty was. She was incredibly special to my beloved brother Randy Wilke. He adored her and she adored him and because of that relationship, we grew to adore Doris. Her soft spoken gentle words always had a tinge of wisdom and love attached to them. I loved her precious notes and cards and I will miss them. She was a true example of how we all should learn to love the people we meet, no matter their background, their quirks, or their life journeys. We lost a great person, but heaven gained another angel."

Frank and Teresa Gonzalez from Saint Charles, IL

"There are some people that go through this life unnoticed, and there are others that leave their mark on this life and when they finally leave the world and those who knew them are better because of them. Doris was one of those for she was able to touch the heart of all that knew her and made with great humility a change to her community. Teresa and I are sorry that we are in Florida and cannnot be there to say good by, but we know that for sure we will meet her one day at the other side, that this out faith and the faith that Doris lived by"

She is one of those women who lived her best life every day and we all benefited from her gentle ways. Her notes and phone calls got me through many a tough day at City Hall. She was ahead of her time which is why I admired and adored her. My sympathies to all of the wonderful Hunts. It was my privilege to know Doris"
