VISITATION
March 28, 2025 | 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. - Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles
Dr. Janet Wildman, age 75, passed away on March 20, 2025, in St. Charles, Illinois after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on August 12, 1949, in Cranston, Rhode Island, Janet dedicated her life to the well-being of others, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service.
Janet’s academic journey was marked by an unwavering commitment to medicine. She graduated in 1967 from Classical High School, Providence RI, before pursuing her BS at Boston University in 1972. Her passion for healthcare led her to MIT for pre-med studies and ultimately to Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine, 1977-1981.
For over three decades, Janet was a valued member of the Delnor Hospital medical staff. As a pediatrician serving the St. Charles community, she provided compassionate care to countless children and families. Her dedication extended beyond her practice, as she actively supported Kansas City foster children, the Salvation Army, and wildlife conservation efforts.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, James Victory; her daughter, Julia Ruth; son-in-law, Jerry Ruth; and cherished granddaughters, Nora and Emma. Her devotion to family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Like the ripples that spread outwards from a pebble hitting water, Janet’s kindness and generosity touched many, many lives. Her memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.

"Our family was so fortunate to have been given Dr Wildmans name right after we moved to St. Charles. Our 6 mo. old son became sick, and she immediately knew he had pneumonia! We were so grateful to her, and we would never have taken our 3 boys to anyone else. We always knew they were in the best hands possible. We are so saddened to hear of her illness and her loss. To her family, prayers for peace and comfort to you all.. Love, Deb and Phil Henricksen"
