BATAVIA– E. Charles Miller (Chuck) 91, passed away November 22, 2020. He was born July 6, 1929, in Elgin, IL. He graduated from Elgin High School in 1948. At age 9 he started selling Saturday Evening Post magazines being top salesman many times. He held part time jobs and joined the National Guard while in high school. The Guard was activated in 1951, and he was sent to Germany in 1953. Back home he worked for the Milwaukee R.R. until he became an electrical apprentice with IBEW local union117. In 1962 he bought an electrical contracting business which he operated in Elgin for 30 years under the name E. Charles Miller Electric.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Ann (Coulombe), his children: Andrew (Marianne), Sylvia (John), Theresa (Tom), Norman (Julie), Kathleen (Rod) and Vincent (Mary) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Benevolent Care Fund at Covenant Living at the Holmstad, Batavia, IL, Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main St. Batavia, IL, or the Salvation Army.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Friday, November 27 at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E Main St, St. Charles, IL. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 28 at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Batavia, Father Romeo Pavino officiating.
