Condolences

Kathy Wegley from Glenview, IL

"Eileen had a laugh and smile that would light up a room! One couldn't help but laugh along when she did. I hear her laugh in my head all the time. I have the fondest memories of teaching with her at Bell Graham. She was an excellent teacher, and I was lucky to be on her team. She cared deeply about her students and her family. She taught my son and used her humor to reach and encourage him. Thank goodness he had her as a teacher! I have missed her since I moved away, and I will miss her all the more now. What a bright light and spirit. My condolences to the entire Lubrano Family."

Of course, I don't remember every teacher I've ever had, but Mrs. Lubrano always had an exuberance passion for fun, learning, and her students. I remember just always being in a good mood when I was in her class. She made everyone feel special, and she made every day full of laughs and joy. Mrs. Lubrano, I am so thankful for your memory. My sincerest condolences to the Lubrano family. Rest in peace."

"I just learned of this heartbreaking news. Mrs. Lubrano was my 5th grade teacher in 2005-2006 and I will never forget how much she impacted my life and inspired me to become a teacher. My students just recently asked me who my favorite teacher of all-time was and I replied very proudly with “My 5th grade teacher back in Illinois, Mrs. Lubrano.” I am so heartbroken to hear of this news. I’m sending many thoughts and prayers to your family."

Jenny Schmeissing from Oak Park, IL

"I am so saddened to her of Eileen's passing. We went to school together in Des Plaines. I have so many wonderful memories of Eileen, Katie, Diana, and myself navigating our early teens together with slumber parties, pizza at Romanos, school dances, basketball games, and so on. Later in high school, Eileen enjoyed being a cheerleader, having an active social life, and achieving outstanding academic success. We had recently reconnected during our high school reunion weekend and had been planning to spend more time together when it was safe to do so. I will always remember Eileen's smile, laughter, and optimism. She was an exceptional friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Lubrano and Goelz families."
