"We are so sorry for your loss, Michael, Ryan and Thomas. Elaine welcomed us warmly when we were new Marmion parents. She was always inviting and kind. A sweet soul who always had a smile on her face. Rest in peace, Elaine. We will be joining in the streaming of her funeral mass."

Joan Kilanowski from Irving, TX

"What a full life Elaine had, and I was a lucky recipient to share some of her overwhelming love and thoughtfulness. Our first of life's encounters that we discovered we shared, was in 1st Grade. We were actually part of the flock of lambs in the school's Christmas play. We then caught up again in high school and shared the excitement of new boyfriends, social activities and the rest of teenagers' angsts and antics. But, we survived and continued exploring life in college and even shared our first "real grown-up apartment" with her other close friends, Patti and Cathy. So many wonderful memories in a lifetime. A toast to Elaine with wine and Kirshbaum's cake! Our favorite sugar overload.I know God called you home because He has a big project he'd like you to head up. You were always an angel on earth. You will be missed, my dear friend, but NEVER forgotten."

Kerry Shay from Aurora, IL

"Your family has my very deepest sympathy for the loss of dear Elaine. Her friendship was a true blessing as Thomas and my Michael went through Marmion together. Our time in our prayers group was also a treasure. She was a woman who made a difference in the lives of others. We are blessed to have had her in our lives. May she rest in peace and may your family take comfort in the memories and love shared by family and friends. You remain in my prayers."

Cara Schafer from St. Charles, IL

"I am so sorry to hear about Elaine. She was a kind and genuine person with the best laugh.I had the honor of meeting Elaine when she became my son, Jimmy’s, tutor 2 years ago. She was such a blessing to Jimmy and our family during a difficult time. Jimmy and Elaine quickly bonded. They shared the love of Go Fish and played after almost every session. She brought so much joy to Jimmy, even on some of the darkest days. I will be forever grateful and never forget her.I send my condolences and prayers to her family. She talked about you often and shared some great (and funny) stories with Jimmy and I. The love she had for all of you was so touching. I have no doubt in my mind that she and Jimmy are up in Heaven right now, playing a game of Go Fish."
