Obituaries

Elizabeth “Beth” J. Lindquist age 92, of St. Charles, IL passed away January 21, 2021. She was born to Arthur R. and Ruth E. Johnson in Geneva, IL. She is survived by her two sons; Jim E. Lindquist of Tucson, AZ,  John Z, Lindquist of St. Charles, IL, and grandson Wade Lindquist of Orlando, FL.

Beth was preceded in death by her son William A. Lindquist and brother Arthur (Peggy) Johnson and dear cousin Martha “Marty” Atherton.

Beth grew up in Geneva and was a 1946 graduate from Geneva Community HS. After graduation, she worked at the Little Traveler Shop in Geneva.  Later, she worked many years at the Blue Goose Supermarket and the Photo Shop in St. Charles.  Beth had also been the owner-operator of the Apple Tree Corner Shop in Elburn, which sold fine handcrafted apparel.

Beth was well known in the St. Charles and Geneva communities, in which she had many business relationships and close friendships.  She was a volunteer for various charities and nonprofit groups, including working as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteer for children.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
