Obituaries

Elwood “ Woody “ Lundeen age 84, of St. Charles, IL. passed on peacefully Friday August 27, 2021.He was born in Rockford IL. on  April 13,1937  to Elmer and Viola  (Gilles)  Lundeen.

He graduated from West Rockford High School, Class of 1955. He was a graduate of De Vry Technical Institute where he earned an associate degree in Applied Sciences in Electronic Technology.

He then served in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Control Radar Repairman. After completing  his military service, he went on to work as an Electronic Engineer at Western Electric in West Chicago, IL and was later transferred to Lucent Technology where he remained until he retired at the end of 1991 with 30 yrs. of service.

He was preceded in death by Dorothy  “Bridgette” Lundeen, his wife of 30 yrs. His parents, Elmer and (Carol) Lundeen, and Viola (Ron) Blythe.

Woody is survived by three daughters; Jacqueline (Flores) Morris, Kathryn Flores, and Shirley (Flores) Worthel, all from Geneva, IL. A grandson Tyler Johnson of Yorkville, IL and a great grandson Jett Johnson of Warrenville  and many friends from all walks of life.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday September 1, 2021 at Union Cemetery 1200 N. 5th Ave. St. Charles IL, 60174.
