Eric T. Schultz, 53, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva following a brave battle with colon cancer. Eric was born on June 3, 1971 in Winfield, Illinois to Thomas and Vadie Schultz. He married Christy (Urena) on September 10, 1999 and they enjoyed 25 wonderful years of marriage together.
Eric graduated from Wheaton Central High School in 1989 and University of Illinois with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1993. After graduation he accepted a job with Parker Hanifin and worked there for over 30 years.
Eric was a beloved husband of Christy, loving father of Zachary, Aidan, Ryan and furbaby Lucy, dear son of Vadie and the late Thomas Schultz, dearest brother of Mindy (Aaron) Spinney, fond son-in-law of Joe and Dorothy Urena, brother-in-law of Bob (Heather) and Rick (Krysta), adored uncle of Emma, Dylan, Nolan, Breanna, Skyler and Hunter. Eric was loved by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Eric is remembered for his quick wit, being the life of the party, everyone’s favorite mixologist, a prankster, and a dedicated Chicago sports fan.
Visitation for Eric will be held Thursday, February 20th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. Funeral Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 6N487 Crane Rd, St. Charles.

"I had the pleasure of growing up with Eric. I spent many hours playing in his basement. Back when the time to leave was when the street lights came on. I also had the pleasure of playing high school football with "Gramps". I am heartbroken by this loss and pray for comfort for his family."
Bradley R Bomkamp from LOVES PARK, IL, IL
"Eric and I started on the exact same day with Parker almost 32 years ago. We were in the same 3-year trainee program and both ended up on the west coast in our mid 20s. As a result of this, we formed a lasting friendship based on mutual trust and respect. Over the years, Eric enjoyed playing the occasional prank on me at Parker and it is something that I always enjoyed about Eric. During the past couple of years, Eric and I talked about many things (mostly not work related) and I got to know how much he loved his family and cared deeply about their wellbeing. I will miss Eric very much and wish nothing but love and prayers to his wife Christy and family."

"Eric will be missed for his kindness, talent, wit and good humor. A wonderful neighbor (who always had that driveway shoveled first), he was a fixture in the young lives of our children. An awesome dad, a loving husband and a friend to all, he will be remembered with love by those who had the good fortune to know him."
Kurt Peters from Ashley, IN
"I worked with Eric for several years and spent countless hours driving together to and from our Goodland plant. During those drives we solved Parker's and the world's issues many times over. We also had lots of laughs. Even after we moved away, we still talked regularly. I will miss those 5-minute work conversations that turned into 30-minute talks about life and kids. Eric was truly a special guy, great friend, and extraordinary family man. I pray for Christy and the boys and hope they have comfort knowing he is no longer in pain and will be watching over them from above. RIP my man."

"With a great sadness I heard about losing Eric. He was the man with beautiful soul and good sense of humor. It was a pleasure to be around him and talk about not just work related but anything. I met him 23 years ago, and I was working for him and his team at our plant in Goodland where he was a plant manager at the time. It was my best time at Parker. Last time I have seen him we have been talking about art. He was not just a good team player and hard worker he was a good father, husband and friend. He left a permanent footprint to all of us who knew him well. An irreparable loss for all of us and we will miss him. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. RIP."
