Francis M. Clesen, 78, of Elgin, died Sunday April 7, 2024, at his home.
He was born February 19, 1946, in Evanston, Il. The son of the late Frank and Roselyn Clesen.
Mr. Clesen was a Wholesale Grower opening his first Greenhouse in South Elgin in 1965 before opening others.
He truly was a people person with his great sense of humor and compassion and was loved by everyone.
Mr. Clesen is survived by his wife, Pamela. His children, Patrick, Erik (Kimberly), Mike (Ashley) Clesen. Also, Eric (Virginia) Battuello, Lori (Adam) Sherman and Beth (Mark) Heimbuch. Also, Andy Tobler who was like a son to him. Thirteen grandchildren, Lauren, Kolby, Hailey, Myles, Zach, Cole, Ryan, Brooke, Dominic, Ty, Ella, Alanna, and Jack. Also, six siblings.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Patrick Church 6N487 Crane Road St. Charles. Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery St. Charles. Donations may be made to the Chicago Food Bank.
