Hallard “Bud” McKiness, age 94 of South Elgin, IL completed his final journey home to be with his Lord July 26, 2021 the birthday of his late daughter Stacy.  He was born June 9, 1927 in St. Charles, IL to Andrew and Barbara McKiness.

Bud served his country in WWII and was called to serve again in the Korean Conflict. After his service to his country Bud worked at Oatman’s Dairy in Aurora until 1967.  He became a Kane Country Sheriff ’s Deputy and retired after 29 years of service. He enjoyed his retirement years spending time with his grandchildren. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing and many trips to Colorado with his children and grandchildren into his nineties.

He is survived by his children: Robin “Rob” McKiness, Rick (Wendy) McKiness, Randie (Donna) McKiness, Donna (Dave) Beckman, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brother Jack (Viola) McKiness, and sister-in-law Dolores McKiness.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, daughter Stacy Olesen, sister  Helen McKiness, brother Robert “Oral” McKiness, and sisters; Doris (Jack) Wallingford, Frances McKiness.

Visitation will be 3-8:00 P.M. Friday, August 6, 2021 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60174. Funeral Service will be 9:00 A.M. Saturday, August 7, 2021 a Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. Burial will be at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.
