It is with great sadness that the family of Ida Clara Silvestri, announce that she has transitioned into life eternal on Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was born in Rende, Cosenza, Italia on September 20, 1940 to Michele and Concetta Attento. She was classically trained and worked as a talented seamstress. Some of her favorite pastimes included praying, knitting, sewing, cooking, gardening, word searches, being an amazing wife, mother and exceptional grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Roberto Sr., and their children John (Mary Jean Roselli), Anna (née Silvestri, Dominic) Macri, Roberto Jr. (Eledja Sterjo) and Lora (née Silvestri, David) Souza. She is survived by her grandchildren: Amanda (née Macri, Joseph) DiCanio, Michael and Alec Silvestri, Elexess and Maurizio Silvestri, Clara Souza, Gabriella and Domenico Macri, and Anna K. She is also survived by her brothers Francesco (Josephine) Attento and Salvatore Attento in addition to being loved and missed as an aunt to a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Yurs Funeral Home at 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60174 on Monday April 2nd, from 3pm–6pm, and a full Catholic Mass to be held on Tuesday April 3rd at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, St. Charles, IL 60174 at 10:30am. Private interment ceremony immediately to follow at Assumption Cemetery (1S510 Winfield Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Ida Clara Silvestri to either St. John Neumann Catholic Church (2900 E. Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60174) or St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Villa Park (330 N. Westmore Ave, Villa Park, IL 60181).
