In Loving Memory of Ivory Daniels
Ivory Lee Daniels, age 66, of North Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Ivory was born on September 29, 1958, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Thelma and John Daniels. A beloved husband, father, sibling, and friend, Ivory touched the lives of many with his infectious kindness, joy, and unwavering love.
Ivory is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Tanya Daniels, daughter Antonia (Adam) Wesselink, grandchildren Aedon and Christian Wesselink, siblings Dorothy Jean Glenn, Ellen Jewel (Joey) Scott, Frank (Ida) Daniels and Eddie (Vera) Daniels, and numerous other family members and friends who will cherish his memory forever. Ivory was preceded in death by his father John Daniels, mother Thelma Daniels, and siblings John Leo Moore, Willie James Daniels, Al Freddie Daniels and Theodor Daniels.
Ivory grew up in Chicago and attended Holy Cross Elementary School, Chicago Vocational High School, Chicago State University, and Keller School of Management for his Master of Business Administration. Ivory retired from Northrop Grumman after 36 years where he held top security clearance as a Financial Analyst.
Ivory had a passion for life that was visible through his love of travel, dancing, golf and budgeting. In his retirement, Ivory dedicated his life to volunteerism. For the past 6 years, Ivory was a volunteer at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital where he transported patients to appointments and cared for their family members. In addition, Ivory was a transitional housing mentor with Bridge Communities, an organization helping to move individuals from homelessness to self-sustainability.
Ivory was a dedicated member of the DuPage A.M.E. Church family, and throughout the years he served on multiple teams including the Usher Board, Hospitality Team and Reach Food Pantry.
May Ivory’s beautiful soul rest in peace, and may his family and friends be comforted by the memories of his exceptional life. For further information call Yurs Funeral Home 630-584-0060

"Tanya & Toni, I just heard about Ivory my deepest condolences. Ivory worked for me for many years at Northrop, but more than that we became good friends. We shared many memories from playing basketball together. He was a dedicated worker who could always be counted on. A man like him was truly loved b all who knew him"

"I am so sorry to hear of Ivory's passing. He was such a fun guy to be around. I was a co- worker of his at Northrop for several years where we became good friends. We played softball and went to a Bulls game together. Mostly we had passionate conversations regarding the Bears and Bulls. I can still hear his laugh. RIP Ivory. I will never forget you my friend!!"
