Jacob Adam Tarmichael age 40, of Geneva, Illinois passed away September 13, He was born to James and Linda Tarmichael, November 13, 1980 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. At the age of nineteen, he met his soul mate, Kerry Gelston at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The happy couple were married on June 14, 2014 at Naper Settlement in Naperville, Illinois.
Jake loved hanging out with his wife and dog. He also enjoyed going to concerts, bike riding, bowling and watching football games and movies. The White Sox were his favorite team and he was an avid gamer. He graduated from Batavia H.S., and attended Waubonsee Community College, and received his bachelors’ degree in Interactive Computer Graphics and Web Design from the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg, IL.
Jake was a creative person and had a gentle spirit. He was quiet and liked having time to himself but was always there with a smile and mischievous attitude. Jake was inseparable from his dog, Zero. His face lit up whenever he was with him, like a proud papa. He, Kerry and Zero were the perfect little family and were so happy.
He is survived by his loving wife Kerry, and dog Zero, parents James and Linda Tarmichael, of North Aurora, IL, brother Benjamin (Heather) Tarmichael of Batavia, IL, sister Trina (Mark) Zawacki of North Aurora, three nieces; Zoe Zawacki, Mia Tarmichael, Gianna Tarmichael, nephew Isaac Zawacki, close family friend Chris (Meredith) Maury and their children Cole, Bree, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and sister-in-law Jennifer (Paul Robak) Gelston of Skokie, IL.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Arthur J. (Beatrice Ann Adams) Tarmichael, and his maternal grandparents George (Frances Schmitt) Altepeter.
