Jeri Alice Paulette, 62, unexpectedly passed away Monday, November 14.
The daughter of Wilford “Bud” and Violet Fischer, Jeri was born on December 20, 1959 in Bellwood, IL. On June 30, 1990 she married David Ernest Paulette, with whom she had two sons (“my boys” as she called them) Wil David Paulette and Scott David Paulette.
Jeri had a storied career but none more so than working in customer service at Blue Goose Supermarket in Saint Charles for just over 25 years. There she made an invaluable amount of friends amongst her coworkers and customers through her loving attitude and incredible sense of humor.
Even when medical conditions forced her to stop working she didn’t let that stop her from doing what she loved; whether it be shopping or going out to eat with friends and family, or participating in arts and crafts where she developed the love of making custom cards for the holidays. She also never missed a single episode of Jeopardy! which she enjoyed immensely later in her life.
But most important of all, Jeri loved being with her family, with whom she loved and cared for unconditionally. That love extended to everyone she knew. Jeri always put others well before herself. It’s that selflessness that will long be missed.
Jeri is survived by her husband, David; sons, Wil and Scott; sister, Susan Overlee; and many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Wilford and Violet Fischer; brothers Richard and Tim Fischer; sisters Cheryl Schmid and Jill Mustard; brother-in-law William Overlee; nephew Joseph R B Mustard; and niece Endrea LeBrun.
Family and friends will gather for visitation from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM., Friday, November 18th at Yurs Funeral Home of St. Charles, 405 East Main Street (Corner of Rt.64 and Rt. 25).
