John J. “Jack” McCann, 81, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.  He was greatly loved by his daughters, grandchildren, brother and their families.

The son of Francis and Margaret McCann, Jack was born in Chicago on May 31, 1939. He married Mary Ann Odwazny on January 28, 1961 in Chicago.

Jack worked at Bennett Brothers of Chicago as a Buyer and Photographer for 49 years. He was an avid photographer but his true passion was his seven grandchildren, who were the subject of most of his photography.  He had a way of making each of them feel uniquely special.  His faith was very important to him and he loved attending morning mass.

Survived by daughters Jacqueline (Jim) O’Connor, Lori (Mike) Rallo; grandchildren Ryan (Kristin) O’Connor, Joshua O’Connor, John O’Connor, Lindsey (Caleb) Miller, Anthony (Taylor) Rallo, Megan (Lawson) Drinkwater, Rowan Rallo; three great grandsons.  He is also survived by his brother Dutch McCann and his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2900 East Main St., St. Charles, Illinois 60174. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.  Family and friends will gather for visitation from 9:30-10:30 A.M., Saturday, May 1 2021, at Yurs Funeral Home of St. Charles, 405 East Main Street.
