"Jack was one of the coolest guys I've ever met. He was my husband's college roommate at NIU. It was their senior year when I met him, I spent every weekend at NIU with them. We had some amazing times. Jack was a groomsman in our wedding. We moved to Rolling Meadows in '93 and the three of us were pretty inseparable. He would sneak us into the pool after hours (I think he was working there, I forget which pool it was). He carried a picture of Natalie Merchant in his wallet. I don't know why I remember that but I do. I remember a wedding we went to at a country club and Jack wasn't a fan of the club and hijinks may have happened. We listened to a lot of great music, drank lots of Sam Adams and a little Jameson and laughed a lot. We moved the summer of '95 and we fell out of touch. But Jack's presence in our lives was enormous, we learned so much from him. I got a hold of him a few years later after we had our first son because we named him Jack. I've missed Jack all of these years and now that he's gone... Jack was one of my most favorite people that I have ever known. And I know that I'm definitely not the only one who thinks the same way."
